These smaller group meetings are intended for both newer members and long-standing members.

Guest Speaker - Melony Mincey Bell
Melony Mincey Bell is an American politician who has served as Supervisor of Elections of Polk County since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, she previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2018 to 2024, as a Polk County commissioner from 2010 to 2018, as the Mayor of Fort Meade, Florida, and as a Fort Meade city commissioner.
Guest Speaker - Representative Jon Albert of Polk County
Jon Albert is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives for the 48th district. He served in the United States Marine Corps for nine years and ten months. He graduated from Chaminade University of Honolulu with an MBA. Albert was the mayor of Frostproof, Florida, from 2020 to 2024. He is a business owner, and also a Christian.
Guest Speaker - Senator Colleen Burton of Polk County
Colleen Burton is a prominent figure in Florida politics, currently serving as a State Senator for District 12. She was elected to the Florida Senate in November 2022 after previously serving eight years in the Florida House of Representatives. In her current role, she holds significant positions as the Chair of the Health Policy Committee and Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee.
Background and Experience
- Political Career: Burton has been active in politics since 2014, representing the 40th district in the House before her Senate election.
- Party Affiliation: She is a member of the Republican Party and is known for advocating conservative values.
- Community Involvement: Burton has a strong background in public administration and community service, which informs her legislative priorities.
Current Term: Burton's current term in the Senate will end on November 3, 2026, and she is running for re-election.
